In September 2022, I was lucky enough to purchase Engine Co 3 from a firefighter and private collector who had purchased it from the West Haven CT Fire Department back in January 2022. The previous owner had spent 6 month’s working on the truck including painting it to bring it back to it’s former glory.. .
Our hope is to have Engine Co 3’s new quarters built by early summer 2023 so that we can bring her home from her temporary storage. Once it is moved into its new permanent home, we will continue the restoration process in order to bring this classic apparatus back to her former glory.
Historic Details
We are currently working with the West Haven CT Historical Society to obtain records and details about this truck when it was in service. As we gather more information we will be sure to post it here.
The engine shown here is an older Mack Pumper which our 1984 Mack replaced back in the early 80’s.
